Quote Challenge day 1 – Annie Leibovitz

I was nominated to join the Quote Challenge by Lady Ash’s Diwan, and happily accept the challenge.

Being a photographer it felt natural to me to start off with a quote that I feel describe how I feel whenever I am out to shoot landscapes or adventure shots.

“I wish that all of nature’s magnificence, the emotion of the land, the living energy of place could be photographed.”

Annie Leibovitz

I find that a good photograph does exactly what Leibovitz wishes for; it captures not only how the scenery looks, but how it feels, smells and impacts the photographer as well. But no matter how amazing a photograph is, it’s not possible to capture it all. The moment you are there, in nature, cannot be frozen in time. So that exact moment has passed wether you get your amazing image or not. Therefore it is imminent to be present and try to secure it all to your brain, heart and soul. That’s the only way to relive it once the moment has passed.

I did accept the challenge, but I will make my own twist when it comes to nominate bloggers and hope I will be forgiven. I will only nominate three bloggers in total over the three days I participate in the challenge. I look forward to reading your quotes!

Rules for the Quote Challenge

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and link to their blog post
  • Post 1-3 quotes a day for 3 consecutive days
  • Nominate 3 bloggers (each day)

Today’s nominee is:

Knut Arne Gjertsen Photography
