Starting a 30 day photo challenge

So, I’ve decided to do a 30 day photo challenge. I’ve tried to do this once before, but had to break it off due to my injury and surgery coming up in the middle of it. Now I feel I have both the time and energy to be able to make it, and I really want to invest some time with the camera every day. I’m going to start the challenge Sunday the 25th of June and I will shoot all the images before I post any of them.

The photo challenge has a few guidelines. For instance there’s a daily theme, shown in the list below. Also, I have to shoot one image every day for thirty days, I can’t post more than one image from each shoot. And I can’t use images I have already shot before the challenge starts.

I’m doing this challenge to get better at photography, and develop skills within different kinds of photography than the ones I usually shoot. Here’s the list of themes.

  1. Self portrait
  2. Rule of thirds
  3. B/W
  4. Texture
  5. High angle
  6. Low angle
  7. Silhouette

  11. Landscape
  12. Portrait

  1. I did a photo a day self-imposed challenge last year. I found it pushed me to look for new opportunities and different photo styles, as strictly landscape or strictly floral photography poses a challenge as season change and weather conditions restricted me. A great creative challenge for any photographer. Wishing you luck.
