I know I have been slacking off when it comes to posting regularly lately. I have had too much at hand at work, and I’ve had some problems with my photo equipment, and therefore not been able to go out and shoot so often. But now equipment has been fixed, and I have lots of plans that I’m really excited about.
Currently I’m planning a photoshoot that I’m both really looking forward to and a bit anxious about. I’m going to shoot three or four locations and several models on the same day. As you probably have gathered by my post about November here in Norway, the days are short now. We can expect about six hours of daylight, so the schedule is rather tight on the day of the shoot.
To make sure that everything turns out the best way it can, I try to do proper preparations. I use the ephemeris to figure out when to shoot at which location, I google for images from the location to check what angles and compositions I want to try out and I make a mood board to get my ideas gathered.
Mango Street has a channel on Youtube that I have followed for a while, and they have made a series of videos about planning a shoot. I think they sum it up really well, so check it out!
I look forward to sharing the final images after the shoot by the end of this month. I also look forward to sharing my keepers of 2017 with you before New Year, and to test my new 24-105 mm a lot come Christmas. Check back in for more posts, or better yet; subscribe so you don’t miss out!
