This summer I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time with my camera. Shooting images that I have longed to shoot, as well as images that I didn’t know I was looking for. One of the locations that I have wanted to shoot, and that I have returned from without images several times before, is Holenakken back home in Sunnmøre. This week I’m happy to post the image that made the portfolio, as well as a birch that I’d really like to shoot again.
I needed the right conditions to be able to shoot this one. I wanted to get the amazing greens across, so I needed the contrasty light from the partly cloudy sky. The previous times I have been here it has been either completely overcast or just no clouds whatsoever, so I was happy when I finally got the conditions I had been hoping for.
On the short hike from the road there is also an amazing birch that I had been looking forward to shoot. Sadly the lighting was a bit too harsh for the shot I had pictured, but I did manage to get a decent black and white. I look forward to shooting this birch again some other time.
I hope you like the images! If you do, please hit the like button, leave a comment or subscribe so you don’t miss out on my next updates.

And it’s always nice to get close to a photo we’ve longed for isn’t it?
