We had this amazing mini break at my in laws cabin at Savalen last weekend. Finding stillness, feeling the fresh mountain air and the wind blowing on our faces, not being online, hearing the sounds the fire in the wood burner makes, plain amazing.
I also got to enjoy some time with the camera, and I came home with a lot of images I’m eager to share. First up is some images from a hike on Sunday. The weather was chaotic to say the least. Sun, wind, snow, rain, you name it. As I was trying to capture it all, sitting behind a stone to find shelter from the wind, I noticed that my dog was getting a bit alarmed. I looked up from behind the camera, and saw an eagle just ten metres from where I was sitting. It was obviously thinking that Zelda would be a feast, so I got up for it to notice that she was not alone. As I stood up the eagle turned and slowly flew away from us. It made a turn looking back at us before it glided away further into the mountains. It was an amazing experience. I’ve never been so close to an eagle before, and I am really grateful for having been lucky enough to be there at that moment. What was a moody and dark shoot, with rays of light every here and there, turned out to be one of my most exciting experiences in the mountains. Yay nature!
I’ll be sharing a lot more images over the next few weeks, so make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out!
