After having a taste of the cold and magic snow yesterday there’s no doubt, I’m ready for winter.
Are you ready for some winter photography? Check out my post on winter photography for beginners!
Exciting projects coming
I’ve not been able to create as much as I’ve wanted to this fall. And I’ve written tons about it before. As always I have every intention of taking more time to create, and this time I’m doing something very concrete.
During the first wave of lockdown I posted daily through Corona Chronicles. I loved it. And to be honest I would prefer to be able to post daily all the time. But let’s face it; creations from the home office isn’t the most interesting stuff to post. Not from the office either for that matter.
In a few days we’ll enter December, the most wonderful month of the year. And this year it’s going to be a bit different. Some might think that it’s going to be harder to find that Christmas spirit this year. I want to do my part to help people get in that delightful holiday mood; enter blogmas 2020. I’m going to do whatever I can to post daily from the 1st of December all the way through Christmas Eve. It’s going to be a mix between pure blogs of what we’ve been up to and posts with a more tips and tricks kind of value. I’m looking forward to it, and I hope you’ll like it!
A new perspective
I’ve been wanting to test drone photography and videography for a while, but haven’t jumped on the train as I’ve found the investment too major. I mean spending $1200 for a drone when you haven’t ever flown one seems right out stupid. So I’ve been waiting for the technology in the cheaper drones to get better. Saving money for the purchase as I waited. This November I found that the time was finally here with the DJI Mini 2 being released.
I’ve just started learning how to fly the drone, and I’m super excited to learn more. Once I get the hang of it, you can expect more footage and image from a different perspective from me. I hope you’ll join me for the ride!
Fall is still holding on – I’m ready for winter
I love the fall colors, no doubt about it. But I’m really ready for winter. It doesn’t look like snow is anywhere near, but even a little frost would work wonders for my mood. I went for a walk in the forest not many days ago. The light was golden and the few leaves still clinging on to the trees were golden as well. I should be really happy about the opportunity to shoot it, but I found myself lacking inspiration. I just wanted more of the cold wintery tones that I love working with. And I know they are coming; winter is coming. I’m just a bit impatient. I know.
I hope you’re all staying safe through this second wave of COVID-19. It’s no doubt a bit harder when it hits at this time of year. But remember what we learned about taking care of ourselves and each other from the first wave and know that it will get better. Everything is going to be all right. I hope I’ll see you all for blogmas, and might check in once before it launches as well. Take care, and remember; there’s always more to explore locally!
